Welcome to the Cultural-Representative Subcorpus of the Kazakh Language! The cultural-representative subcorpus is an electronic database that provides information about the cultural semantics of ethnocultural units. The total volume of texts in the subcorpus encompasses 8 million words. The texts are compiled in four different categories: folklore, works of oral literature by authors, ethnographic studies, and scientific papers and articles. Users can search for ethnocultural units within thematic groups, such as personal names, kinship terms, traditional foods, national clothing, jewelry, weapon names, sacred numbers, and dishware names. Additionally, information about religious terms, archaic words, loanwords, ethnographisms, variants, and cultural proper names is available within the lexical layer.
