Welcome to the website of the Dialect Subcorpus of the Kazakh language! The dialect subcorpus is an electronic collection of oral and written texts containing regional linguistic features of the Kazakh language, operating through a search system. The purpose of creating the dialectological subcorpus is to build a textual database of regional spoken Kazakh as an IT resource for research and education. In general linguistics, dialect corpora are created based on the collection of oral texts recorded in different regions. At the first stage of developing the Kazakh dialectological subcorpus, the materials of the “Regional Dictionary of the Kazakh Language” (published in 2005; Ғ. Kaliev, O. Nakysbekov, Sh. Sarybayev, A. Uderbayev) were used as a foundation.
