Welcome to the Writers Subcorpus of the Kazakh Language! The Writers Subcorpus is an annotated electronic collection of literary texts (prose and drama), as well as a database of expressive means reflecting the artistic language of writers. Through this subcorpus, users can access detailed information about Kazakh literary works (novels, novellas, short stories, fables, plays, etc.) and read them online. The subcorpus includes works by 100 Kazakh writers. All texts are provided with metadata containing detailed information about the authors. The total volume of the text base is 10 million word usages. For user convenience, literary devices frequently found in texts—such as similes, figurative expressions, phraseological units, metaphors, epithets, proverbs, and sayings—are available for separate search. The search system allows queries by word, metadata (author, title, genre, chronotope, audience), and literary devices. The subcorpus is intended for readers interested in Kazakh literature, general audiences, and researchers studying literary language.
